You are not alone! When you are dealing with chronic pain, fatigue, and all of the many surprises that fibromyalgia can bring to disrupt our daily lives, it's easy to forget that there are other people going through the same thing. I always think "I just wish I was normal", but I am not. I have a disability. That is something I'm still working on accepting. The fact that we can't do "normal" is a hard thing to process. We grieve our old lives, and we have to make adjustments for every aspect of our lives. In essence, we have to create our own "normal".
If you have fibro, you have almost certainly been told at some point that "it is all in your head". Yes, it actually is all in our heads, because it is a neurological condition.
There are days when I wake up and wonder why I'm even alive. If it's this hard just to live, then why do it? Listen carefully, warriors! We are all put on this Earth for a soul purpose. We all have our hardships to overcome. It is so very important that we reach out during hard times. There ARE people who feel the same way you do, who suffer day after day. I know I am one of the lucky ones, because I am able to get out of bed most days, and I am able to work most days. This site is here for you.
Find your soul purpose and find your determination to make it through the pain. We can be here for one another. We can relate to our experiences like no other. So, I ask that fibro warriors reach out during difficult times. We can get through this together! We have each other, and a lot of amazing resources and organizations to support us. Keep fighting, warriors! You are here for a reason!
